When will the QiFORZE, QiSTYKE and QiNAIA Foundation Courses be available?

QiFORZE will launch in October of this year. QiSTRYKE and QiNAIA will launch in 2013. Trust us – good things are worth the wait!

Do I have to teach all four QiGNITION formats or can I teach just one or two?

It is not a requirement to teach all formats. We realize everyone has different interests when it comes to teaching group fitness. Our goal is that our trained instructors share their passion and our QiGNITION philosophy with everyone they touch. We hope you support all QiGNITION trained instructors and incorporate our other workouts into your fitness routine for a well-balanced workout program!

Why are your Foundation Courses free?

At QiGNITION, we believe education is priceless! We are seriously committed to raising the level of professional fitness education by offering the right tools and resources to help our instructors achieve their goals and build a rewarding career. That's why we go beyond having great programs that we know will fill up your classes to give you exclusive advantages that empower you and help you grow as a fitness professional.

QiGNITION instructors are the ambassadors of our brand and our culture, so we give great importance to the quality of their education. Our new instruction methodology was designed to make QiGNITION instructors "intuitive mentors" who can lead people to achieve their goals.

Do I have to be a veteran group fitness instructor and/or hold any current fitness certifications in order to attend a Foundation Course?

Our education is designed for those 18 years of age or older and although having experience and/or a current fitness certification in teaching group fitness is beneficial, it is not required in order to attend one of our Foundation Courses. You will need to meet the hiring credentials of where you teach. Some facilities look to hire QiGNITION trained instructors as these instructors hold the license to associate the QiGNITION format name and logo with their class. Some facilities may require their group fitness instructors to maintain a group fitness certification.

Our courses provide you with the education and tools needed to be a successful QiGNITION instructor.

What happens during a QiDANCE Foundation Course and what will I receive?

A QiDance Foundation Course focuses on the skills, tools and tips that assist you in becoming an exceptional instructor and nothing else. By attending a full-day QiDANCE Foundation Course, you will receive:

• Incredible, original music from multi-Grammy winning composer, Kike Santander, only available to QiGNITION Instructors.

• Cutting-edge choreography and programming brought to you by Leigh Crews, Petra Kolber, & The QiGNITION Team.

• The QiDANCE Manual, choreography notes, an exclusive soundtrack, and online videos.

• 0.8 ACE & 6.0 AFAA Continuing Education Credits.

• A License to teach QiDANCE.

• The option to join the QiCLUB - an on-line community that provides access to networking, education and tools to enhance the fitness instructing career of course participants.

What if I cannot complete the full day Foundation Course? Or what if I register and then have a conflict?

If you know you will not be able to attend a Foundation Course or stay to complete the entire course ahead of time, contact us through our Support tab and let us know so we can free up your spot for someone else and reschedule you in a future course. In order to receive full credit for attending a Foundation Course as well as receive all the teaching materials, you are required to complete the course in its entirety. We, at QIGNITION, realize that sometimes life throws us a curve ball and the unexpected happens. If the unexpected happens during the Foundation Course, let the Master Trainer know so we can follow up with you and schedule you into an upcoming course in your area.

What should I bring to the Foundation Course?

In order for you to get the most from the day and the Foundation Course experience, we recommend you bring:

• Water - You will be moving much of the day

• A change of clothes - The master class workout is near the beginning of the course. You may want to have some dry clothes to change into after this workout

• Sweat towel

• Cover up

• Pen

• Snacks/Lunch

• Credit or Debit Card – You will have the opportunity to join our QiCLUB at the Foundation Course.

After I complete the Foundation Course, can I say I am a QiDANCE certified instructor?

QiGNITION is not a certifying body however, you will be a QiGNITION "trained" instructor and we do provide you with continuing education credits/units that can be applied towards renewing your group fitness certification.

Is everyone who completes the Foundation Course able to teach the format?

After completing the full day Foundation Course, you will have all the tools needed in order for you to successfully lead a QiGNITION group fitness workout. It is up to you to use these tools to practice and fine-tune your teaching skills before applying to teach a QiGNITION format. In 2013, we will launch our QiBLASTS. These are an educational opportunity for you to receive feedback on your teaching skills that will further guide you in fine tuning your QiGNITION teaching skills.

Where can I teach the QiGNITION formats?

Once you are QiGNITION trained, you have a license to use the QiGNITION format name and logo to teach at fitness centers, recreation centers, community centers, dance studios, churches, corporate fitness centers and schools. This will help you in promoting where and when you teach the format.

What is the QiCLUB?

The QiCLUB is QiGNITION's exclusive, members-only online club that provides tools and services to help advance the careers of QiGNITION instructors.

How do I become a QiCLUB member?

The first step to becoming a QiCLUB member is to attend a Foundation Course. If you haven't attended one yet, please click on the Instructors Tab to join one.

If you have already attended a Course and received your confirmation email you are already a Guest Member and all you have to do is login at the upper-right corner entering your username and password *

*Your username is the part before the @ symbol of the email address you used to sign up. Your password is the one you received via email when you signed up, unless you already changed it to a new one, then use the new one. To reset your password, click on the login button once you are already logged in and that will take you to your user profile

Who is eligible to join the QiCLUB?

All QiGNITION trained instructors, those who have completed the full day Foundation Course, are eligible to become QiCLUB members. In fact, we currently offer all QiGNITION trained instructors a FREE guest membership!*

*Offer expires after 3 months of completion of the Foundation Course. After that period, instructors must take the Foundation Course again, paying regular price to join QiCLUB

What is a QiCLUB Guest Membership?

A Guest Membership is extended to every trainer who completes a Foundation Course and includes a one-time download access to the current production, and no access to Production Blocks, or future Productions.
In order to get full access to all the goodies QiCLUB has to offer (unlimited download access, Production Blocks for current and future productions), you must become an Active Member by purchasing the latest production HERE.

Why should I join the QiCLUB?

The club offers instructors on-going education, additional music and class content, networking opportunities, an on-line community, promotional materials, affiliate opportunities, apparel and more!
Joining the QiCLUB extends your license to use the QiGNITION format name and logo when listing and promoting your teaching schedule for as long as you are a member of the QiCLUB.

How much is it to join the QiCLUB?

To best suit the needs of our instructors, we offer two different pricing options, annual and quarterly. QiGNITION instructors may pay for an annual membership upfront. Those who choose this payment option pay $360 USD and enjoy a (15) month Active membership for the price of (12) months or (3) FREE months! Our quarterly payment option costs $90 USD however, for your convenience, we bill you $30 per month.

How do I request a Foundation Course in my area?

Requesting a Foundation Course is easy! Simply complete the on-line request found under the Facilities tab and an Event Coordinator will get in touch with you.

How do I become a QiGNITION Master Trainer?

Click on the "Instructors" button at the top of any page of our website, and scroll to the "Become a Master Trainer" tab. Fill out the application and attach your resume and the required video to be considered for our team. If selected, you will be required to attend a QiGNITION Master Trainer Summit in the format you have applied to teach. These are held as need arises in various locations across the USA. If you have a passion for teaching group fitness, experience in presenting fitness educational courses, and want to be part of a team of top-notch industry leaders, becoming a QiGNITION Master Trainer is a great career option.

What countries are the QiGNITION programs available?

At this time, we are servicing the fitness and wellness communities in Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States. We hope to be everywhere very soon!

How do I sing up for a Foundation Course?

Click here, choose the Course you wish to attend and follow the steps as directed.

How do I edit my profile information?

1. Go to www.qignition.com

2. CLICK on the "QiCLUB LOGIN" button on the upper right hand corner and enter your Username and Password

3. One you are logged in, CLICK on your Username on the upper right hand corner. This will give you access to your personal account where you'll be able to edit any information you want.

What happened with Batuka?

Kike Santander, co-creator of Batuka and his team of experts developed a new vision of fitness and wellness that gave birth to Qignition, leaving behind a very rewarding and fruitful chapter with Batuka.

Everything that you know about Batuka became a part of a fitness and wellness system called Qignition.

The Batuka Dance class you've been taking is now called QiDance, which is the name of the Qignition dance workout program.

QiWhat?

Qignition is a fitness and wellness company dedicated to awaken and activate people's vital energy to improve their quality of life. Qignition's name derives from the union of two words: Qi, the Chinese concept for vital energy and Ignition, the single action that starts the chain reaction that generates positive change.

Are my workouts going to change?

Not initially. The songs and choreographies of this first stage are the same. The songs that said Batuka in the lyrics will now say QiDANCE. QiDANCE is the dance fitness program from Qignition. Every three months QiDANCE will have more new songs and choreographies to keep the class interesting, so I will have more options of routines to teach the class.

Are there other Qignition fitness programs?

Yes, there are 4 programs being developed. The first one is QiDANCE, which is the program replacing Batuka Dance. The other programs are QiFORZE, which is a strength program, QiSTRYKE, which incorporates martial arts training and QiNAIA, which mixes traditional eastern practices like yoga and tai chi with modern mind and body training.

How are Qignition and Batuka different?

Batuka is a thoroughly developed workout system, and the new vision of its creator brings Qignition to life. Qignition incorporates a philosophy about activating your vital energy, so you can use it for much more than getting and staying fit. It also offers products and resources that complement the workouts.

How will Qignition activate my vital energy?

There are new choreographies and songs coming up. They're called QiFORMANCES and they are music and movement pieces created hand in hand to achieve an immersive experience that's even more energizing. Qignition also offers a series of products and resources to complement the workouts. They're all natural, socially and environmentally responsible fitness and wellness products.
